The ADU Resource Center of San Mateo County, in partnership with Hello Housing, is excited to offer FREE one-hour virtual consultations to help property owners in member jurisdictions explore the feasibility of their potential Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) projects.

These personalized sessions are designed to provide you with insights and guidance on the viability of your potential project. Our team will assess your property's unique characteristics and provide tailored information on the steps you can take to bring your ADU vision to life.

Sign up and complete Online Interest Form

To sign up, complete the ADU Consultation Information Form online. The information on this form helps us learn about your potential ADU or JADU project, unique site conditions, and where you are in your current process so that we can better assist you. The Interest Form consists of four sections and should take you about 10-15 minutes to complete.

ADU Consultation Scheduling

Once you submit your interest form you will be placed on a waitlist and the team will reach out by email with an invitation to set up the virtual consultation in the order your response was received.

What to Expect

These One-time 1-hour virtual consultation session are designed to help you if you are are thinking about an ADU or starting out on the ADU building process. An ADU Specialist will answer questions around the feasibility of a potential project, how to navigate the ADU development process as well as discuss potential costs based on the information discussed during the session. Following the meeting you will receive a comprehensive report summarizing detailed information about your property, the process, the potential cost and next steps to take to start moving your project forward.
